BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors of the Ria Keburia Foundation plays a vital role in shaping the foundation’s strategic direction and upholding its commitment to the Georgian contemporary art scene. The selected board provides governance, oversight, and creative insight that guide the foundation’s mission to support experimental artistic practices and foster global cross-cultural dialogue.
Board members not only ensure the responsible stewardship of resources but also act in pursuit of the foundation’s vision—building networks, supporting curatorial initiatives, and helping the foundation amplify its impact both locally and internationally.
- Promote regional and inter-city exchanges to bridge cultural gaps within the country (exchange programs, local and international AIR)
- Oversee and support exchange programs that enable artists, scholars, and cultural workers to travel and collaborate internationally
- Collaborate with allied institutions to advocate for stronger public support, funding, and favorable policies for the arts
- Act as transitory platforms to build relationships with artists, galleries, museums, and cultural institutions abroad
- Evaluate and expand the impact of cultural exchange initiatives on both local and global art communities
- Present a united voice on cultural issues to local and international donors, sponsors, and business partners
- Identify key international collectors interested in the types of art supported by the foundation (local artists, specific styles, cultural themes)
- Secure funding and partnerships to ensure the sustainability of exchange programs, including support from private beneficiaries
- Highlight and celebrate Georgia’s diverse cultural heritage and contemporary art scenes through joint communications
